Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone and welcome back to Everything Hamradio! I wanted to write a short post and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone had a very satisfying day and got full on some great food. I, unfortunately, was one of the unlucky ones that had to work. For those of you that don’t know, I am a 911 dispatcher. I spent the day looking at 4 walls, and my computer screen, fielding calls for people who needed help and having a semi cold thanksgiving dinner that was very thankfully provided by a local restaurant with two of my co-workers. Am I complaining? No Way! I love what I do and I love being able to help people, but it sure would’ve been nice to be able to spend thanksgiving with my family.

My technician class series is coming to a close soon, I believe there is two more posts left. If you have read the introduction post to the series, you might remember that I mentioned that I was going to do a General and Extra class series as well. While I am going to do that, I’m thinking of doing it in a different way, so it may be a few months before I get it out. I’m thinking that Sundays are going to be my series post days, so I am trying to figure out what to write about next. I think that I am going to do a monthly topic, so basically four posts per topic, more if needed, but the extras would be posted on other days other than Sunday.

What kind of topics would y’all like to read and learn about? Please leave your ideas in the comments below.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I was thinking about starting up a podcast as well. I am still working on that, trying to figure out what I need and what I what the structure of it will be. I am shooting for starting it around the first of the year. I am thinking of doing it more as a short learning topic, and a news segment and something else.  I might even do an interview type episode every now and then, but I think it will mostly be just me.

Thanks for stopping by! If you haven’t done so already, please subscribe to my site to get email when I publish a new post. Also like me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter, google+ and LinkedIn.

Until next time…
