RWANDA, 9X.  Jim, KB1ZSQ is QRV as 9X0JW from Kigali until December 20, 2017.  Activity is holiday style on 80 to 10 meters using SSB and various digital modes.  QSL via operator’s instructions.

BHUTAN, A5.  Operators Tatsuo, JA3ARJ, Kumio, JH3LSS, Ryo, JH7EQW and Junichi, JH3AEF are QRV as A52ARJ, A52LSS, A52EQW and A52AEF, respectively, from Dochula Resort until August 27.  Activity is on 80 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and possibly some digital modes.  QSL to home calls.

PHILIPPINES, DU.  Carl, OE9MON is QRV as DU6/OE9MON from Panay Island, IOTA OC-129, until September 2.  QSL via LZ1JZ.

FRENCH POLYNESIA, FO.  Uli, DL2AH is QRV as TX2AH from Mangareva, Gambier Islands, IOTA OC-063, until August 28.  Activity is on 40 to 10 meters using SSB.  QSL to home call.

REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HL.  Members of the Gwangju DX Club are QRV as D73G from Kogum Island, IOTA AS-060, until August 28.  Activity is on 80 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and various digital modes.  QSL via HL4CEL.

LUCIA, J6. William, K9HZ is QRV as J68HZ from Labrelotte Bay, Castries, IOTA NA-108, until September 11.  Activity is on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.  QSL to home call.

MONGOLIA, JT.  David, OK1DBS and Josef, OK1XC will be QRV as JT1DBS and JT1XC, respectively, from August 30 to September 24.  The first week they will be active from Ulaanbaatar, and for the remainder of the time they will be QRV as JT1DBS/3 and JT1XC/3, respectively, from Batshireet.  QSL all calls to home calls.

BULGARIA, LZ.  Special event station LZ18ARDF is QRV until September 30 during the context of the 18th World ARDF Championships in Albena, being held September 3 to 9.  Activity is on the HF bands using CW, SSB and various digital modes.  QSL via bureau.

ASIATIC RUSSIA, UA0.  A group of operators are QRV as R23RRC from Ptichiy Island, IOTA AS-091, until August 29.  QSL via operators’ instructions.

AUSTRALIA, VK.  A group of operators are QRV using special event call sign VI6BLT50 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan.  Other BLT50 stations may be active as well.  QSL via operators’ instructions.

PITCAIRN ISLAND, VP6.  Nob, JF2MBF and Ken, JA2FJP are QRV as VP6J until September 3.  Activity is on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.  QSL via JF2MBF.

BERMUDA, VP9.  Jeff, VA3QSL will be QRV as VA3QSL/VP9 from August 31 to September 8.  Activity will be holiday style on 40 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and various digital modes.  QSL to home call

MACAO, XX9.  Andrea, IK7YTT will be QRV as XX9TYT from Coloane Island, IOTA AS-075, from August 29 to September 5.  Activity will be on 80 to 10 meters.  This includes an entry in the upcoming All Asian SSB DX contest.  QSL via IW7EGQ.

VANUATU, YJ.  Tom, KC0W is QRV as YJ0COW until September 21. Activity is on the various HF bands using only CW.  QSL direct to home call.

AVES ISLAND, YV0.  A large group of operators will soon be QRV as YX0V from Aves Island, IOTA NA-020, and be active for 7 to 10 days. Activity will be on all HF bands and 6 meters using all modes.  QSL via operators’ instructions.

ALBANIA, ZA. Costa, IZ7GXB is QRV as ZA/IZ7GXB from Durres until August 30.  Activity is focused mostly on 6 meters using SSB.  QSL direct to home call.


The QRP 20-Meter CW Fox Hunt, NCCC RTTY Sprint, NCCC CW Sprint, Hawaii QSO Party, ALARA Contest, Keyman’s Club of Japan CW Contest, SCC RTTY Championship, W/VE Islands QSO Party, YO DX HF Contest, Kansas QSO Party, Ohio QSO Party, CVA SSB DX Contest and the SARL HF CW Contest will certainly keep contesters busy this upcoming weekend.

The CWops Mini-CWT CW Test and Phone Fray are scheduled for August 31.

The ARRL National Parks on the Air event runs during all of 2016 to mark the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
