SAMOA, 5W.  Bob, VK2BOB will be QRV as 5W0BOB from Upolu Island, IOTA OC-097, from September 10 to 17.  Activity will be holiday style on 40 and 20 meters using SSB.  QSL direct to home call.

RWANDA, 9X.  Jim, KB1ZSQ is QRV as 9X0JW from Kigali until December Activity is in his spare time on 80 to 10 meters using SSB and various digital modes.  QSL via operator’s instructions.

TONGA, A3.  Joshua, VA7YM is QRV as A31YM from Haapai Island, IOTA OC-169, until September 13, and then from Eua Island, IOTA OC-049, from September 13 to 21.  Activity is on the HF bands.  QSL direct to EA5GL.

BHUTAN, A5.  Zorro, JH1AJT, Champ, E21EIC and Franz, DJ9ZB are QRV as A5A until September 17 while supporting the launch of the Paralympic Committee with the Bhutan Olympic Committee.  Activity is with two stations on 80 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.  QSL via JH1AJT.

PIERRE ET MIQUELON, FP. Freddy, F4HEC, Nicolas, F1RAF, Michel, FK8IK and Laurent, F5TMJ will be QRV as TO5FP from September 10 to Activity will be on 80 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via operators’ instructions.

MINAMI TORISHIMA, JD1.  Kakutani is QRV as JD1YAA from the Japan Meteorological Agency Ham Club Station located on Marcus Island until mid November.  Activity is mainly on 17 and 12 meters using SSB around 2200z and 0300z, respectively.  QSL via bureau.

MARKET REEF, OJ0.  Henri, OH3JR will be QRV as OJ0JR from September 10 to 17.  QSL to home call.

NETHERLANDS, PA.  Marcel, PD5MVH is QRV as PD5MVH/p from Ameland Island, IOTA EU-038, until September 17.  Activity is on 40, 20 and 10 meters using CW, SSB and JT65.  He will be QRV as PD38EU in the Worked All Europe SSB DX contest.  QSL both calls to home call.

DODECANESE, SV5.  Claudio, HB9OAU will be QRV as SV5/HB9OAU from Karpatos Island, IOTA EU-001, from September 10 to 22.  Activity will be holiday style on 40 to 10 meters using SSB.  QSL to home call.

EAST KIRIBATI, T32.  Ken, KH6QJ is QRV as T32ZA until September 15. Activity is on 80 to 10 meters using SSB and RTTY.  QSL to home call.

KITTS AND NEVIS, V4. John, W5JON will be QRV as V47JA from Calypso Bay, IOTA NA-104, from September 12 to 29.  Activity will be on 160 to 6 meters, including 60 meters, using SSB.  QSL direct to home call.

ASCENSION ISLAND, ZD8.  Herb, N4RG will be QRV as ZD8RG from September 11 to 29.  Activity will be on 160 to 10 meters using CW and SSB in his spare time.  QSL to home call.


The ARRL September VHF Contest, North American CW Sprint, NCCC RTTY Sprint, NCCC CW Sprint, FOC CW QSO Party, Worked All Europe SSB DX Contest, Kulikovo Polye CW Contest, SARL Field Day Contest, SKCC Weekend CW Sprintathon, Russian Cup Digital Contest, Ohio State Parks on the Air and the Classic CW Exchange are all on tap for this upcoming weekend.

The CWops Mini-CWT CW Test, RSGB 80-meter Club SSB Sprint and Phone Fray are scheduled for September 14.

The ARRL National Parks on the Air event runs during all of 2016 to mark the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
