Hey everybody and welcome back to Everything Ham Radio. If you listened to my podcasts, you may remember me saying how I had issues with getting my HF radio to work. All I ever hear is static.
Welp, I still have the same problem
I’ve decided to take y’all on a tour of my shack from the antenna outside to the radio inside and everywhere in between. Check out the video below:
In the video, I have pointed out four potential problem areas that I see.
- Antenna placement
- Extra coax cooled up
- Issues with my radios
- High transmission power lines
One or all of these could be a player in why I can hear anything but static and why I can hit two repeaters that are with 8 miles or less of me that I have a direct line of sight of from the ground outside my shack.
